If you run any PPC or email marketing campaigns then you almost certainly use landing pages in one form or another. Many web marketers create so many landing pages that it’s easy to become blind to what you’re actually doing. We throw up a few images, a little bit of copy and we publish the page. However, there’s a huge number of changes that you can make to your landing page that will help to improve the number of conversions. It’s no secret, people who work in marketing and sales can be a little bit self-obsessed and we like to talk about ourselves. It’s time for a difficult truth, your customer doesn’t care about you. What they do care about is how you can help them. The best landing page copy will talk about the problems that your potential clients have and how your product or service can help to solve them. Your client should feel that taking the next step will help to change their life for the better and they should really understand the benefit of filling out the form.

Use images as a prompt

You’ve probably heard of all the usual image tips so here’s an unusual one. If you have any photos of people on the page, make sure that they’re looking at your form or call to action. People are naturally interested in things that have grabbed other people’s attention and if there’s a form or button that seems to be interesting the people on your page, then chances are your visitors will take notice of it too. You only have a few seconds to grab your prospect’s attention so make sure that you make the most of it.

These two simple tips could be the start of significant improvements to your landing pages. Above all, don’t be afraid to constantly test things in order to get the most out of your page.
